NovaBench was used to test a HP Compaq, in May
2014. As the computer is a couple of years old, there are not up to date features
on the system. The CPU test produced a high score of 186. One improvement
needed would be graphics test as it scored 2, which is exceptionally low. This could
be corrected by buying a graphics card, so the graphics test score would
increase. Another improvement would be
hardware, as the test produced a score of 14 this is somewhat lower than the
super computers score, this could be improved by installing a new hard drive. This could be another improvement as the RAM test
produced a score of 84 which is a considerable difference compared to the super
computers score of 175, this could be improved by buying a number of chips to
increase the RAM, and helping the computer to do more things at any one time.
The total score for the
HP Compaq is 286; this is much lower than the total average system as it has a
score of 547.
NovaBench was used to
test a super computer on the 14th March 2011, which was produced
with up to date features of the time. The graphics test for this computer created
a high score of 954. There was not as much of a decent result from the hardware
test this would be one of the improvements as the score was 18 which is fairly
low. This could be rectified by a new hard drive being fitted to help increase
the score of the test; this gives the user more support when downloading larger
files etc. Another improvement that could be made would be the RAM as the score
was 175, it is not remarkably low, but could still be increased. This could be
rectified by the help of assortment of chips to improve the RAM speed and the
score on the test.
From comparison graph, the
computer was more developed than the average computer as the system reached a
score of 1878; this is better compared to the average systems score of 547.
